I'm waiting for a replacement MacBook, so I shot and edited this all on my iPhone 7. As you can see from the date I mention in the beginning, it took me about a week to get the hang of editing in iMovie on my phone. I didn't even attempt to do anything fancy with the audio. Learning how to edit in iMovie on my phone was quite a challenge. Ebeye, I'm told, is the 5th most crowded island in the world. It's rough around the edges, and even rougher in the middle. There are swarms of children and flies. The cost of living is high, and water is scarce. The contrast between the orderly comfortable life on Kwajalein and the poverty and disorder on Ebeye is extreme. For an incredibly crowded tiny island, there were very few buildings taller than 2 stories. The result is some of the most crowded...
I am building a start up to employ women in The Republic of The Marshall Islands. Marshallese Weavers create incredible bags and baskets from natural fibers. I have designs that I believe will sell. I am going to the Islands to connect my designs and vision with the weavers. I need your help to get this start up off the ground. I am looking for support for plane tickets, and for the initial production run. I plan to travel before Christmas 2017. I am excited to bring this Passion Project to life, and to bring fair-trade, eco-friendly products into your home. Help me do it! Thank you in advance for your enthusiasm and support.
From Afghanistan to South Korea, from Antarctica and now on to Kwajalein in the Marshal Islands, I've been working overseas for the past 7 years. It's been a wild ride full of fun and adventure. In this video I share my experiences and explain how I find my overseas jobs, how I initially found work in Afghanistan while the US economy was in a terrible recession, and how I continue to find what I consider to be some of the most rewarding and interesting overseas jobs. If you are looking for the How to get a Job in Antarctica video you can find it here: https://youtu.be/my7BJ93MdIk Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/falloffthemap/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fall_off_the_map/?hl=en If you're interested in becoming an electrician, plumber, carpenter, HVAC tech, or an...

While staying in the Marshall Islands, we had the opportunity to head to a private island owned by the same owners (RRE) of the hotel we stayed at. $30 per person for boat transfer and $10 each for snorkel gear. And no one else signed up! So, it was just us and the two families that live out there on the pretty big island
